Executive Director, Danat Al Emarat Hospital for Women & Children

Dr. Mohaymen Abdelghany is the Executive Director of Danat Al Emarat Hospital for Women & Children. In this role, Dr. Abdelghany champions clinical excellence, research, and patient-centered care across the hospital. This includes supporting and building world-class clinical care programs and ensuring existing programs operate to the highest standards of care.

As a highly accomplished senior physician and healthcare executive, he has more than 25 years of global experience across various public and for-profit health systems. His diverse expertise within clinical and leadership roles has equipped him to successfully lead critical startups business transitions in the healthcare sector.

Prior to his appointment at Danat Al Emarat Hospital for Women & Children, Dr. Abdelghany was the CEO of Al Zahra Hospital in Dubai. He has also led other key healthcare institutions, including, the Healthcare Advisory Board at KEF Holdings, Saudi German Hospital in Dubai and in Abha, KSA and the Al Sharq Healthcare Group in the UAE.

Dr. Abdelghany serves on key healthcare and advisory boards in the region and globally. He is a member of several esteemed associations, including serving as a physician consultant at the Joint Commission International (JCI)’s world-class expert team, comprising fewer than 60 consultants globally. Dr. Abdelghany is also a member of numerous distinguished institutions, including the American College of Healthcare Executive, MENA Chapter, the American Institute of Healthcare Quality, the Harvard Alumni Club, the Harvard Club of the GCC, the Dubai Medical Tourism Club and the Dubai Private Hospitals Group.

Dr. Abdelghany graduated from Harvard Business School and INSEAD executive leadership programs and holds two master’s degrees in anesthesia and healthcare management. He is a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) and is Six Sigma Certified.
